Rand Paul vs the TSA

I finally read all the posts/news stories etc concerning Rand Paul being held up by the TSA..REALLY?? He held himself up. I have had 4 body-pats from false alarms....alarm goes off they take you in a windowed room (normally) and they pat you down.... Rand Paul chose to NOT allow the pat-down....why???

I have always needed to get on my plane, and knowing the alarm was false, I gladly spread my arms and legs and let them pat away!! Am I correct in thinking as a common citizen I could never use my cell phone, but he was allowed too, or did they get upset he just did it? http://dailycaller.com/2012/01/23/rand-paul-on-tsa-detainment-i-was-barked-at-do-not-leave-the-cubicle/

Anyhow, why do our elected officials think they are above us, the common citizens?? I have to follow the rules, and I do it with a smirk on my face, or a smile, depends on my PMS...but really, this is the news for this week?

  2. Hey Sella...welcome to the crazy world of blogging! I have to warn you, it becomes addictive after a while!

One thing about it, you'll meet a lot of the "common citizens" that all have pretty much the same values!

I'm gonna add you to the blogroll over at my place, OK?

  3. I think he was being opportunistic. He wanted to make a point about what he thought was excessive screening and he was not in a terrible hurry. I would make a bet that if he had really needed to be where that plane was going to land then he would have gotten the pat down and never said a word to the cameras.

  4. TY everyone. I am not sure where this blog will go, and I am sure I will have a lot to learn. But it seems fun and I will try to keep my boring life in Iowa interesting..:) Thanks again for the warm welcome.
